St Michael’s first opened in 1987 and is currently celebrating its 21st anniversary of service to the people of Hastings and Rother. 

Services:  The Hospice provides 26 in-patient beds, offering both pain relief and symptom control as well as ongoing support for those unable to return home.  A Day Therapy Centre provides support for up to 72 patients a week.  A Hospice at Home team is available 24 hours 7 days a week.  Patients are admitted directly from Hospital or the community.  

Funding:  St Michael's Hospice costs are approximately £4.6 million per year (£12,600 per day), with 27% coming from the government.
